Niklas And Jay's Beach Hike Extravaganza Of Extravagance 2007
Driveways! Parking Lots! Bathrooms! Also, The West End Of The Beach
Here's the turnoff for the beach. Now, you'll know how to get there when you come to visit and I'm too
hungover to drive you around.
This is the view from the road down to the beach. It's not as good as the view from the beach, but it's
better than...
...the parking lot. Lots of locals drive scooters, but most of these are tourist rentals. It's easy to tell the
tourists on the road as they're the only ones who drive anywhere near the comically low speed limit of 21 MPH.
This is, as far as I know, the only changing station in a Men's room in all of Bermuda.
The main beach is to the left here. The beach with lots of rocks that Niklas thinks he should eat is to the right.
Here's Rock Eating Beach (Port Royal Cove, if you're into accuracy). On the weekends, it's filled with children.
During the week, though, it's the domain o' the hefty.
Here, you can see how much rougher the sea is out beyond the rocks. You can also see more than you want of quite
a few people. Sorry about that.
I thought the little slice of water appearing above the rocks was neat. It's neater on the weekend when there aren't
so many people around, but still.
And we're off on our hike east. What will we find? Pirate Treasure? Undersea Civilizations? Uh.. Lot's O'
Rocks?
